The official state program is Alabama Medicaid. Contact the state or your health plan to confirm eligibility, covered services, required notice, and the correct ride contact for your plan or location.

Alabama Medicaid’s NET program may help eligible beneficiaries pay for transportation to covered medical appointments. To ask about the transportation request and reimbursement process, call the Recipient Call Center at 1-800-362-1504 and choose option 4. The current procedures ask members to make a scheduled-appointment request at least five days ahead; the state also gives this number for special ride needs such as dialysis or radiation.

Route details: Members with full Medicaid coverage can call the Recipient Call Center to submit a transportation request and ask whether Medicaid can pay for the trip. Ask for the request or ticket number before ending the call; the state says it is the record that a request was made.
