Hawaii covered rides
The official state program is Hawaii Med-QUEST Division. Contact the state or your health plan to confirm eligibility, covered services, required notice, and the correct ride contact for your plan or location.
Hawaii Med-QUEST members who have a medically necessary covered appointment and no other transportation should call their QUEST Integration health plan at least 48 hours before the appointment: AlohaCare 1-877-973-0712, HMSA 1-800-440-0640, Kaiser Permanente 1-855-735-1226, ʻOhana 1-888-846-4262, or UnitedHealthcare Community Plan 1-888-777-3844. The health plan arranges the appropriate ride and can help with urgent, inter-island, or out-of-state medical travel.
Route details: Use only the number for your enrolled plan. NEMT is for a covered medically necessary service when you have no other transportation; your health plan confirms medical necessity and any prior approval.
