Iowa covered rides
The official state program is Iowa Department of Health and Human Services. Contact the state or your health plan to confirm eligibility, covered services, required notice, and the correct ride contact for your plan or location.
Iowa Medicaid members should use the broker for their coverage: Iowa Total Care 1-877-271-4819, Molina 1-866-849-2062, Wellpoint Iowa 1-844-544-1389, or fee-for-service Medicaid 1-866-572-7662. Iowa HHS asks members to schedule at least two working days before the appointment; urgent arrangements may be possible. The broker handles trip details and cancellation.
Route details: Match the member's current coverage to one of the four HHS-listed broker numbers. MCO members use the number for Iowa Total Care, Molina, or Wellpoint; fee-for-service members use 866-572-7662. The broker determines individual trip handling.
