Maine covered rides

The official state program is Maine Department of Health and Human Services (MaineCare). Contact the state or your health plan to confirm eligibility, covered services, required notice, and the correct ride contact for your plan or location.

MaineCare members can call the transportation broker for the county where they live to schedule a ride to a MaineCare-covered appointment. Use the official Transportation Broker List to find the county broker and call at least two business days before the appointment. If the appointment is urgent, tell the broker so it can verify the urgency; MaineCare also allows reimbursement in some cases.
